Gabriela is a multi-disciplined graphic designer with a decade of experience in designing content that elevates brands and excites audiences. Born and raised in Queens, New York, Gabriela draws inspiration from the intersections of cultures that represent her community, fueling her creativity and driving her to create designs that not only captivate but also resonate with audiences on a deeply personal level.

While attending the Art Institute of New York Gabriela developed a passion for digital and print media, which landed her first design job at Interactive One, a digital media company known for developing brand-building solutions that drive results by tapping into consumers from a cultural perspective rooted in heritage and ethnic influences. Over the next 9 years, she worked primarily in digital design for editorial campaigns and publications such as Bossip, Madame Noire, Hello Beautiful, Cassius, and Hip Hop Wired. Gabriela's success in her role afforded her the privilege to work on large national campaigns at Interactive One for esteemed clients such as Lowes, Universal Pictures, Disney, Coca-Cola, and PepsiCo, crafting captivating ads in various formats, including microsites, app design, video platforms, and mobile-rich media ads.

This exposure to the industry ignited her passion for design and set her on a path of creative exploration, leading to various freelance opportunities with nonprofit organizations dedicated to improving NYC communities. Her work with Casita Maria Center for Arts and Education allowed Gabriela to develop innovative marketing materials for the 2020 Census campaign to increase the participation and representation of local South Bronx residents in the census count. The success of the Census campaign resulted in additional opportunities to create digital and print media for Casita Maria's on-site art gallery, Latin jazz musical group Bronx Banda, and various community programs offered to locals free of charge.

Gabriela seamlessly transitions from design strategies geared towards nationwide audiences, such as her work for Complex Magazine, to tailored strategy for small businesses.  She has successfully designed logos and developed branding packages for several local businesses including ExtraGlossy Hair Salon, The Sex Ed We Deserve, LLC., and MoonBrainBooks; catapulting the businesses' visibility and increasing their audience appeal. Today, Gabriela is eager to continue applying her creativity and innovative design approach to new opportunities in the world of digital and print media.
